Herakleia Lynkestis
2025
Single-channel video
Philip II of Macedon, father of Alexander the Great, founded the city of Herakleia Lynkestis in the 4th century BCE. Once a vital center of geopolitical power in Europe, it now survives in ruins and exists in a limbo, a place without time. It has become a heterotopia where columns, statues, and tiles preserve a forever-dying memory, a spectral presence lingering within the stones.
